SeaHunter 8000 Maritme patrol and Surveillance System

The Norwegian Coastal Administration and Sundt Air hosted a press conference to celebrate the Roll-out of the Air KA350ER Maritime Patrol and surveillance Aircraft with SeaHunter 8000. Mr. Johan Marius Ly – Director, Department for Emergency Response at Norwegian Costal Administration presented the inauguration of this new Maritime Patrol Aircraft for their operation in the demanding environment in the North Sea.

 

 

This aircraft is the second Maritime Patrol Aircraft owned operated by Sundt Air in contract with The Norwegian Coastal Administration, The Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies (NOFO) and The Norwegian MoD (Navy). The NSM SeaHunter 8000’s main operational tasks will include oceanic pollution control, object/vessel identification, auto-tracking, search and rescue, fishery surveillance, support for police and customs activities, firefighting coordination and mapping. The SeaHunter 8000 is developed by NSM in close co-operation with the Norwegian Costal Administration and offers a wide range of advanced functionality for very efficient operation in the most demanding environment and climatic conditions in the North Sea. This successful delivery is a valuable milestone for the the Norwegian Coastal Administration, Sundt Air and NSM.
