Projects, Hydro’s project organization, has a long track record in project execution and takes pride in delivering on time, within budget and meeting challenging HSE targets. To keep the leading edge within project management, develop future aluminium, energy- and bauxite investments and provide support to other parts of Hydro, we need to strengthen our organization in the field of Quality & Risk Management.

Area of Responsibility

  • Further develop and maintain Projects’ Management System
  • Further develop and maintain Projects’ Quality & Risk Management Systems
  • Maintain annual Audit Plan and take the role as Lead Auditor
  • Support and train the line organization in systematic and effective follow-up of Suppliers based on a risk based approach
  • Support Project Managers in setting up and implementing project specific Quality & Risk Plans
  • Support project teams in systematic follow-up of Suppliers (“Examinations”)
  • Evaluation (pre-award) and follow up (post-award) of Suppliers Quality & Risk Systems
  • Auditing Suppliers Quality & Risk Systems with focus on the system’s ability to support Supplier’s deliverables
  • Act as Decision Gate Review Leader according to Hydro’s Capital Value Process 

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent and minimum 5 year’s relevant experience, preferably from industrial projects. Formal education / training within Quality Management
  • Holder of Lead Auditor Certificate
  • In depth understanding of the ISO 9000 series and other relevant ISO standards
  • Good understanding of engineering-, construction-  and project management processes
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in an environment with multiple contributors and stakeholders
  • Proactive, solution oriented and positive attitude
  • Team player with the ability to work individually with challenging tasks
  • Strong Norwegian and English language skills, both oral and written. Knowledge in Portuguese language is an advantage
  • International mindset, mobile and eager to work with both domestic and international projects
