The position includes leadership of research in public health sciences, education at master and PhD level and communication in the research field of public health science.
We are looking for a candidate with wide research interests in public health sciences and public health work. The position’s core research field should be in the main stream of public health science and should include interdisciplinary research related to the sections research profile.
Core competences in public health could be combined with competence in fields like:
- Health promotion or primary prevention related to healthy and vulnerary populations
- Population based interventions
- Public health and environmental issues
- Local government and public health work
The nature of this academic position indicates an orientation towards international networking, collaboration and communication of research. We invite applicants with experiences in both quantitative and qualitative methods.
The selected candidate will be integrated in the sections responsibilities for the public health master program (teaching student courses and supervision) and is expected to contribute to the development of the existing curriculum and courses, as well as supervising PhD students.
It is expected that non-Scandinavians must learn Norwegian (or Scandinavian) within two years. The teaching can be conducted in English.
