Local Unit & Position Description

GSS HR Nordic Norway is a part of Global Shared Services in DNV GL and provides administrative support and advisory services to divisions and business units in Norway within the entire HR value chain. Due to increased demand of our services and colleagues taking on new challenges internally, we are looking to strengthen the capacity of our Recruitment group with a new colleague.


As of today our group comprises 9 people representing diversity in experience, preferences and educational background. We are proud to be part of a dedicated and competent team holding certificates as recruitment personnel and users of psychological test tools. We emphasise and value knowledge sharing within the group, and work hard to make each other even better through professionalising the recruitment process and monitoring the satisfaction of our internal customers; the hiring managers. As the largest competence centre within recruitment in DNV GL, we collaborate with a wide internal network of recruiters, giving us the exclusive opportunity to exchange experiences and collaborate cross-culturally. Furthermore, we work closely together with our colleagues in the Employer Branding group.


Recruitment is recognised as a professional discipline in DNV GL and delivered as a global, standardised process, coordinated by the Group Recruitment Manager. Our recruiters are trusted advisors to the business line comprehending all steps in the recruitment process, from planning and job analysis to background check, final selection and closing of the process. Customer satisfaction surveys confirm that our competence based support in interviews, testing and selection of candidates is highly valued by our customers. This leaves us with a wide internal network and close contact with core business.


We share a common understanding of our role as advisors towards the business. We are expected to:

  • Be in forefront and drive the recruitment process together with the hiring managers
  • Easily grasp their core business and translate their recruitment needs into action, i.e. advise on how to approach relevant candidates, choose appropriate recruitment channels and decide on candidate competence profile
  • Be assertive and highly adaptable

To succeed we have to manage the balance between sense of urgency and professional integrity.




Job description


  • Carry out end to end recruitment processes in close cooperation with hiring managers
  • Support and advise on recruitment-related issues
Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably Master's degree in relevant discipline
  • Working experience from an in-house or external recruitment provider
  • Certified user of one or more of the DNV-certified psychometric assessment tools
  • Experience from international business and cross-cultural collaboration
  • Competence within social media recruitment
  • Fluent in English, preferably also in a Scandinavian language (many of our applicants being non Scandinavian)
  • Hold the mindset and understand the implications of being a recruitment advisor adding value to business
  • A genuine interest in developing yourself professionally, comprehending motivation to invest time to get to know and understand our organisation
