Key Account Manager

COMPANY PROFILE Scanbio Marine Group AS produces high quality marine protein and oil products sold into the European aquaculture fish feed, animal feed, and bio-fuel markets. The raw materials are white and pelagic fish by-products and salmon trimming plus mortalities from aquaculture. Scanbio has well located production-sites and transport vessels covering the Norwegian coastline. The management team has strong and long-standing customer relationships. Scanbio was established as a family business in 1984 and is headquartered in Trondheim, Norway. It was acquired by Paine & Partners in 2011. Key Account Manager Scanbio Marine Group AS is seeking an International Marketing Professional with biology or food background to their commodity sales department. Customers are located in Denmark, Finland and the Baltic states. Further developments are targeted in Russia and the Far East. Main responsibilities:
  • Marketing of the companys Marine proteins and Oil products to the Aquaculture, Animal Feed and Bio-Fuels markets
  • Manage the commercial relationship with key customers on a day to day basis according to budgets and targets
  • Identify and analyze new business opportunities
  • Provide detailed information and report to Scanbio Management as and when needed
  • Project management of new product developments and market introductions
  • Assist Head of Sales with Quarterly Planning
Preferred background:
  • B.Sci in a Life Science field, Marine or Agriculture/ Business
  • Technical knowledge of the feed sectors and the feed composition in animal, aqua or pet nutrition is advantageous
  • A successful international 2-3 years commercial track record in B2B
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in and awareness of the entire business process
  • Conversant in a Scandinavian language, English and a plus with an East European language
