Instrument Engineers, IMO
The department "Global Application Engineering" designs and delivers systems and integrated solutions for Instrumentation & Monitoring and solutions in equipment and drilling optimization. The department currently consists of 24 highly qualified engineers and due to increasing workload we are now seeking several new colleagues. Our projects are mainly aimed at external customer and the work is done in groups consisting of the different disciplines working together on a complete delivery. The department is also working on developing new applications and further development of existing products. Some travel activity offshore and on site may occur.
Responsibilities will primarily be:
- Design, implementation, testing and documentation of instrumentation, monitoring and optimization systems for drilling.
- Support during installation and commissioning phase.
- Assist in the team for the standardization of field instrumentation and hardware for our product versions.
Qualifications and skills:
We like to be associated with positive, motivated employees who are able to work independently but also together with others. Applicants must have a degree in automation / instrumentation and 3-5 years of experience in the offshore industry. Higher education / technical college and relevant experience of ex-issues and regulations in offshore drilling-related activities is an advantage. Applicants should also have knowledge of the drilling process and relevant practical experience with field instrumentation, hardware, ex-issues and control systems. In addition, it is desirable to have a good knowledge of legislation, regulations and technical documentation on national and international base. Good communication skills in Norwegian and English is a prerequisite.
