Sustainability Consultants

As the world’s population continues to grow, pressure on resources, environmental systems and social conditions are multiplying. At the same time, economic and governance institutions are coming under increasing pressure. Globalization is leading to stronger interdependence among individuals, nations and regions of the world, while economic austerity and nationalism is driving the same entities to seek independence.

As a DNV Sustainability Consultant you provide transparency and trust to clients in global value chains – working with some of the most important issues of our time – driving environmental, social and governance development.

The Sustainability department consists of 16 professionals with expert competence on corporate responsibility, health & safety and environment. The department works closely with other consultants across DNV, including sustainability hubs in London, San Francisco and Milan.

Job description
  • Marketing, sales and deliveries of sustainability projects for clients
  • Working in teams on environmental, social and governance risk management
  • Helping clients building trust with tailormade solutions, mainly assisting clients operating in or out of Norway
  • Being key account manager, project manager and service manager
  • Delivering complex projects to Nordic and Arctic clients balancing environmental, social and governance issues in strategic decision making and running operations

Personal qualities
  • Environmental, social or governance expertise
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to understand client needs through seeing “the big picture” in parallel with daily operations
  • Systematic and able to plan and prioritize, but also improvise when necessary

  • Master of Art, Master of Science, Master of Economy or Master of Law, with major in Sustainability, Social Science, Law, Business Administration or Anthropology
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in sustainability consulting or environmental, social or governance management
  • Strong track record in sales and project execution as well as proven ability to develop strong client relationships over time
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, oral and written
