1: What is Nortrade?
Nortrade is Norway's largest overview of exporters. The portal was established in 1996 by the Norwegian Trade Council as one of the first official trade portals in the world. Today Nortrade contains updated information for over 8000 Norwegian companies that deal in export, import or other forms of international operations.
Nortrade is a part of Findexa Forlag AS, which is a Norwegian publishing / media house that specialises in segmented editorial and structured products. Nortrade works closely with Norwegian exporters, government institutions and industry organisations to provide the best possible service for its users. Most of the articles are delivered by the publication www.NorwayExports.no, which has been published since 1957.
2: How can I find Norwegian companies, products and services?
To find your new supplier or partner you can search for key words or use the “narrow you search” function within 35 business sectors, 2000 product groups or 8000 products & services. At the “Trade Board” you can post import end export related sales leads and send it directly to relevant companies who can supply the requested products or services. In addition to all of this Nortrade also contains sector related news, articles and vacancies.
3: How can I become a member?
Only Norwegian companies can register and become a member. However, all companies can search or submit a trade request on the trade board free of charge. Read more in Norwegian
4: How do I submit a trade request?
Click on “Trade opportunities” at the front page and then select Submit free request". Choose whether your trade request concerns “Selling to Norway”, “Buying from Norway” or a “information / announcement”. Follow the guidelines to post your request. In order for us to make your Trade Lead request most relevant to the companies within our system, please fill in all fields. Nortrade distributes your request to relevant Norwegian suppliers.
